These articles, obviously not written from the perspective of a born again believer gives great insight into the demographics on the African continent. I would like to point out that this region of the world has always been “religious.” Little has changed on the African continent, though its “form” has radically changed over the centuries. Syncretism is the key. Genuine Biblical Christianity is exclusive not inclusive. Jesus said: “I am the way the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me!” People all over the world, especially in these regions are following a false Jesus and a pseudo-Christianity. This phenomenon is prevalent throughout the world, but especially on the African continent. Pray fervently for wisdom, patience, and lasting spiritual fruit, not just for our family, but for missionaries in these kinds of environments throughout the world.

I was doing some research on the country of Ghana, and I came across the following interesting statistics. From interaction in Ghana, with American Ghanaians, and missionaries on the field, these statistics appear to be on target. I want to expose you to these stats, then I will post comments on our planned approach to ministry based upon our understanding of some demographics. We know that we can accomplish nothing apart from His grace, yet we also recognize our need to prepare and be aware of the cultural climate in which we will be laboring. Here are the links. I am sure if you take the time to read them they will be of interest to you.
