Latest Devolpments in Our Move to Ghana

21 Feb

This past week has been a bit of a grueling week, yet it has been very good.  Joel preached five times ranging from men’s meetings to the nursing home.  He was also able to preach in our home church as well as another supporting church this weekend.  Praise the Lord for blessing in those opportunities to worship the Lord together through Biblical exposition, application, and reflection.  On Saturday, after the men’s meeting, we packed our container with all our belongings.  It was a great time, though we were delayed two hours by a mechanical issue with the truck that will be taking our container to the port.  Please pray that the Lord will protect these items and allow us a smooth transition to ministry in Ghana in about a week.  Our commissioning service will be Sunday, so please keep that in mind as well.

    Joel and Deanna,

You have been very much in my thoughts and my prayers. As Deanna is well aware, I am tech. challenged and getting on the computer or using my cell phone to stay in tune is just not the way the Lord had prepared me. Nonetheless, the Holy Spirit has put you on my mind. I know that voice and how to respond and I suppose that is all that matters! However, I do feel the Lord leading me to become more aquainted with the use of the technology that is available so that I can more effectively pray for His children. The longer we are at PCC the more people I meet and the more people he sends out, and it is difficult to stay in touch and informed; this must never take the place though of fervent prayer or Bible study. I will Lord willing continue to check in each day and see if there are updates or prayer requests so that I can pray specifically for you and the work that God has called you to. Miss Dabbelt informed me Sunday that you are with child again and you must take malaria medicine. I am prayting that God will both protect you and the baby from any harmful effects of the medicine. May the joy of the Lord be your strength today; let God take thought for each day and no matter what circumstances you face, let this be your mindset: “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” Having this mindset will help you when difficulty comes and it will come for the enemy is alive and well. Praise God though for “greater is He who is in you than he that is in the world.” “May He strengthen you with strength in you soul”, and strengthen your hands for the work that is at hand. You are His children and He is Your Father and what won’t the Father do for His children who are called by His name for the asking. The Son ever asking; the Father ever giving to the end that He would be glorified and that His Word would be glorified in you and that lost men, women, boys and girls would be drawn to God the Father through Jesus Christ His Son who liveth and abideth in each of you! Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed and be still. Selah. God is holy and all known sin must be confessed and covered by His blood; keep your heart with all diligence. Make no excuses or allowance for sin; pray and ask God to keep your hearts tender and to love you with a jealous love; with a love that will not allow you to sin and get away with it. “Can two walk together, except they be agreed? May you walk together in perfect agreement, being of one heart, one mind and one accord. Matthew 18:5 “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” Pray together! Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” May He continue to grow you by His grace and enlarge your hearts for all that He hath planned and purposed concerning you. My Lord knows the way through the wilderness, all I have to do is follow. One day at a time! “But seek ye first the kndgom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow; for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6:33-34. Praise God He who has ordainded you is in control and He will keep your hearts and minds in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him! “Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waithed for thee: the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.” Isaiah 26:8 May God fulfill all of His good will and pleasure through you! Psalm 121.

    Love and Prayers,

    Dee Phillips

      Thanks Mrs. Phillips,

Your family has been a real blessing to us. Thanks for your friendship, and continued prayer.
